Plugging & Abandonment Collaborative Environment (PACE) Presentation

Earlier this month our CEO, David Stephenson, presented to the members of the Plugging & Abandonment Collaborative Environment (PACE) in Stavanger, on the benefits of Deep Casing Tool’s Casing Cement Breaker (CCB).

On the same day, Matt Lucas laid the foundations expressing Total’s interest in the CCB, as a major energy operator. The meeting allowed Deep Casing Tools to present their innovative technology to PACE members, including operators, service companies and vendors. “PACE meetings have been a great platform for knowledge sharing of new technologies that could benefit the plugging and abandonment environment” said David.

The PACE community and network was launched to increase awareness of global regulations, understand capabilities of current and emerging technology, and collaborate on cost-effective solutions to common technical challenges. Many offshore oil fields are reaching the end of their productive lives and operators are preparing to decommission a substantial number of wells in the coming years. Well plugging and abandonment is responsible for up to 40% of total decommissioning costs worldwide.
